There are several factors that can affect the final price you have to pay for live musicians in your wedding. For starters, musicians charge differently for playing wedding ceremony music versus reception music. Each set requires a different type of preparation and sometimes, different musical instruments and sound equipment are needed. There’s also the matter of the location and how long the event is going to be.

CW Productions has performed in hundreds of weddings over the years and we dare say we have a pretty good idea of what works.

Do you like classic love songs and oldies played during dinner and for your first dance? Do you want some Elvis during the party? Or are Ed Sheeran hits more of your thing? SHOULD WE HIRE A DJ with the live band for THE WEDDING RECEPTION?
Hiring a DJ with a live band for the wedding reception is a fantastic idea! We often recommend this so there’s never a dull moment during the night. The DJ can take over the entertainment duties when the band is on a break and vice versa. Hiring a DJ and band combo is also a great way to stay within your budget and still enjoy live music for the reception. Another option we offer is hiring a saxophonist and drummer along with a DJ.
